Your Magical Intuition

Trust your wise, inner voice

Intuition is a powerful resource that can assist us with making decisions, solving issues, and navigating our paths. It is a deep inner knowing that goes beyond the limits of rational thought. It is the voice of your true self, heart and soul speaking to you and it is ever-present. While intuitive ability exists in all of us, it can often be overlooked or ignored by our busy minds.

I truly believe that there are magical elements in life, and that each of us has the potential to tap into this power since it is part of our nature. It all depends on whether we decide to acknowledge and honor this power, and act upon it. Unfortunately, many times we let fear prevent us from believing in the intangible things that we may feel but then choose to stay within what we already know. I believe that intuition is a piece of our own magical self and by accessing it, we can be connected with our higher selves. It’s our bridge to the spiritual world, our sixth sense that connects us to something beyond the physical reality.

When we are in contact with our intuition, we get a better understanding of our unique purpose in life and what we need to do to bring our dreams to fruition. It also makes us more aware of the subtle energies that are present in our lives, and it can be used as a source of guidance in making decisions that are in alignment with our highest potential.

The Western world has long been rooted in the belief that logic and reason should be our primary sources of guidance, while anything that opposed this has been viewed with suspicion. This way of thinking has led to intuition being seen as inferior and of less value. We have been taught to think using our intellect rather than our hearts and to follow what everyone else does rather than trusting our own inner compass. This is especially true in today's society, where we are surrounded by a multitude of opinions and information that can cloud our judgment and lead us astray.

However, while logic and reason are invaluable tools, they cannot provide us with all the answers we seek. For instance, questions about the purpose of life cannot be fully answered through logical thinking alone - we need to look beyond our rational minds for other sources of wisdom. Intuition can offer us deeper understanding into matters that cannot be comprehended by our intellect alone.

Follow your bliss and the universe will open doors where there were only walls.

If intuition is accessible to us all, how can we then tap into this internal source of wisdom?

Intuition can be developed like any other skill - by exercising it. The more we practice using our “intuitive muscle", and improving our ability to listen, the easier it will become to recognize and interpret the messages from within.

I believe that in order to align with your intuition more fully, you have to really tune into your heart. The heart is the first organ formed in humans and then the brain is created from that base, making the brain a function formed to interpret the heart's messages. Yet, we become accustomed in life to disregarding our heart's guidance and instead listening to our mind's voice. This way of living stops us from being able to sense and hear what a deeper part of ourselves, our hearts are trying to communicate. To access this most wise part of yourself, start trusting your own body and where it is guiding you.

Accessing the intelligence in our hearts can be a true game-changer. Our heart is a powerful tool that holds immense wisdom and insight, and can guide us in the right direction if we take the time to listen. I believe that the heart is where our soul or Higher Self resides and that this part of us constantly speaks to us through our intuition. Intuition can be perceived through our senses as visions, hearings, or a powerful feeling in the body. I might also come to you in your dreams. To be able to perceive this more subtle communication, we have to become quiet and still our minds.

Turn your attention away from the mental noise and connect with your body and your inner world

SPENDING TIME IN NATURE - the beauty and simplicity of the natural world can help us detach from the busyness of our minds and tune into our innermost self. Nature serves as a reminder that we are part of something much larger than ourselves, which makes it easier for us to lean into the parts of ourselves that believe in the magic of all, and step into our own intuitive magic. Nature is also within reach for most of us. Even if we live in an urban environment and don't have access to a forest or an ocean nearby, we can usually find areas of greenery to visit.

YOGA AND MEDITATION - are also beautiful ways of connecting with your intuition as they keep you grounded and aware. Through my own regular practice, I can truly feel the difference between my level of awareness and connectedness before and after the practice. Doing this on a daily basis brings me an immense feeling of peace and contentment, and from this place, I am better able to access my inner depths.

JOURNALING - Recently, I have included a moment of writing into my daily morning routine. I know this might come naturally for many, but it never did for me. I had to be really persisted since it was the first thing I wanted to skip out of when I was short of time. I’m glad I persisted, the benefits have been worth it. Now, setting aside some time each day to write 2-3 pages in my diary is a really important part of my routine.

I have learned that forming a habit takes time and effort. So if you feel any like me, don’t be discouraged if it feels awkward at first; by setting aside some time and allowing the pen to move freely, you are creating a passage from a deeper part of yourself, allowing your soul to come through.

When we know how to strengthen our connection with our intuition, the next question is how to differentiate between the voice of your mind and the voice of your intuition?

In our hectic, noisy world, it can be difficult to distinguish the voice of our head from the one of our soul. For me, the easiest way to get in touch with my intuition is to pay attention to how it feels in my body. Whenever we make a decision, there is usually an underlying sense within you of whether it was the right or wrong choice. This can be hard to identify at first, but if we can learn to tune into it, then it can assist us in our journey through life. We have all experienced times when our decisions have left us with an uneasy feeling that something was off, and other times with a feeling that it’s just right. What if we could more easily recognize this energy and use it as a source of guidance? Our intuition gives us the capacity to pick up on the energy of things, to feel what our gut tells us and that can be tremendously helpful.

Life can often be chaotic and overwhelming, but if we rush through it all the time, stuck in our "doing" mode, we won't connect with our inner wisdom. If we are too caught up in the hustle and bustle of life, we are more likely to pay attention to the analytical voice of our heads that is based on what we have been taught and past experiences. This voice usually focuses on safety and achieving objectives; however, listening to it too much can cause us anxiety or stress, making us doubt ourselves or feel like we are forcing ourselves into something. I believe that we can distinguish between when we use our head and our heart to speak. When we express ourselves from a place of inner knowledge, there is an added level of profundity and the words that come out are rooted in authenticity, even the tone of voice can sound different.

In comparison to the loud voice in our head, our intuition speaks to us more softly. When we follow this inner guidance, it will bring us a sense of comfort, balance and contentment. To be able to recognize this subtler guidance within us, however, we need to create more moments of stillness in our lives. This quietness allows us to give in to the present moment and discover serenity by simply existing. Rather than constantly doing things, BEING is where we can strengthen our ability to recognize the subtle voice from within, and get access to all the true wonders of life.

Trust your inner voice - follow your intuition.

Every one of us has the ability to access our inner wisdom and use it to accomplish our highest goals but whether we heed its call is up to us.
